Diving the America and the Keystorm (Video)
A couple of weeks ago Steve, Carmen, and I did a dive on the America and the Keystorm. The photo show us on the way to the wreck sites.
On the first dive there was another boat already on the site and there were three divers coming back from the wreck. We passed them on our way down to the wreck. While we were on the wreck of the America a frieghter passed overhead and actually caused to the current to reverse direction for a short time. On the way back from the America we followed the other line to the second mooring bouy and checked out the anchor in the shallow 20 ft depth water before returning to the boat. The dive was 35 minutes in duration with a 70 ft maximum depth.
Next we headed over to the Keystorm to do a dive on her. The Keystorm starts in about 25ft of water but follows a shoal all the way down to 110ft where the propellor sits. She is on her side and makes for a fun dive.
