Diving Mazinaw Lake and Bon Echo Provincial Park

Well this past weekend Steve and I hooked up at Bon Echo Provincial Park. The park boast a very deep lake with a cliff that rises 300 ft above the water and nearly 300ft below the water.

We packed up the boat and headed out to the water to do the dive. Our first dive was on the wall where we descended to a maximum depth of 65 ft. The surface temperature was a tropical 78F while the water below 30ft was 44F. The lake has a lot of tanins in the water so below about 35ft a light is needed.

One the second dive we did a shallower dive along a boulder slope at another point on the lake.
