Started a little Dive Business
Well I've decided to start a small Scuba Diving Business and www.ScubaGeek.ca was born.
As anyone whose been on this site knows I've been seriously into diving for a long time. Recently I've taken the plunge and started up my own dive business.
I decided to set it up as an on-line business as I have in the past always been forced to purchase a lot of my specialty dive gear from the US. To date I have not found a good on-line source for this stuff in Canada. So it was natural to try and fill this niche market.
The next step was to find a product line. The product line of course needed to be technical diving related since that's my area of expertise. After a little searching I found
Oxycheq. I stopped in to visit Patrick at
Oxycheq in FL and was impressed with the product line. They carry an impressive line including the Signature Series wings and Extreme Series wings. After Patrick ran me through the full product line and explained to me all the products
Oxycheq had planned over the next 12 months I was sold. I explained my business plan to Patrick and voila I had a supplier.
The next step was to create the web site, start advertising, setup the servers and accounting system, and get in some inventory. It's been a busy few months, but
www.ScubaGeek.ca is now on-line.
